Marking Your Text
Here’s a quick example of how I might mark the text of Acts 16:16-34. The colors are mostly to catch my eye, though the red marks alert me to important colorful words, the slash marks indicate pauses (double slashes are stronger pauses), and I’ve crossed out things NOT to read and added words that I need to say. Also notice the numbered pages in case of an inadvertent mixup.
Please make up your own system for what will help you read the passage best. Just know from this example that it doesn’t need to be beautiful—just useful.
